Migrant Referral Systems in Kassala, River Nile and Northern states

Reviewed the Migrant Referral Systems in Kassala, River Nile and Northern states. These projects were commissioned by GIZ (within the BMM programme) in 2021. This review was to establish the current state of the Migrant Referral Systems in place in each of the states and to identify avenues for improvement. This consultation focuses on the provision of adequate health and psychosocial care, legal aid, accommodation, and availability of appropriate interpretation services. It also highlights protection of special needs migrants, defined as women, children, elderly or disabled persons, victims of gender-based violence, and victims of human trafficking.
