Pre-assessment of Closed Refugee Camps in Gedaref State, Sudan, 2019. The purpose of the assessment was to collect key information on accessibility, exact geographical camp locations, and population estimation, which would also facilitate the planning of a comprehensive data collection exercise. Other basic informa­tion, like camp structure, dwelling types, infrastructure, needs, camp committees and supporting organisations, were included in the field research as well. This pre-assessment is in preparation for an integrative survey on the population and households of closed refugee camps.
