We are very pleased to launch our new website, and hope it can allow the organisation to have an even greater reach. On this page we hope to keep you updated on developments and news from the EAC and the progress being made in this field.
What we have done so far:
- We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in January 2016 with the Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad (SSWA) on Migration, Expatriation and Dignity in Repatriation.
- We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2016 with Alfaisal Real Estate Company on cooperation to build low-cost houses for the lower income population, including refugees.
- We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in March 2016 with Sudanese Commission of Refugees (COR) on capacity building and to cooperate in finding a suitable solution for refugees in Sudan.
In addition to these, the EAC has attended various conferences on migration issues in the UK and Kenya, and expect to visit many more in the near future.
We have also nurtured relationships and cooperative understanding with organisations such as the UNHCR, International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Plan Sudan and Together For Sudan among other national organisations, and continue to work closely with these partners, as well as culture new relationships with other governments and organisations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Relationships with the Sudanese private sector have also been developed to obtain funding and create job opportunities for youth and tackle unemployment.
We are excited for what is to come for the EAC, watch this space for further developments!
